Invest in the Future

Their future is in our hands. Our Future is in theirs.

The San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association touches the lives of almost everyone in San Angelo and the surrounding area.
The “San Angelo Fat Stock Show Association” originated in 1931 because civic leaders believed in San Angelo as the center of the livestock industry in West Texas. Today, we are the beneficiaries of that vision. The economic benefits are substantial: the Stock Show and Rodeo grounds put more than $10 million into the local economy, and when you add the other events the association hosts throughout the year, the amount grows to almost $30 million.
Association events and related activities attract over 250,000 people a year. The Association also has had a profound impact on the youth of the Concho Valley.
In 1987, because college was only a dream for so many students, the Association began a scholarship program to benefit high school graduates in Texas. In the years since, the program has assisted the educational pursuit of more than 250 high school students. Students receiving scholarships must participate as members of 4-H, FFA and/or FHA programs, demonstrating the Association’s anchored belief in these important youth
programs.

The annual Livestock show involves more than 6,000 4-H and FFA youth showing over 11,000 animals. In March of 2002, the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association continued its tradition of serving West Texas and area youth by funding the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Foundation, a 50199{c)3 charitable organization. The mission of the foundation is to manage San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo scholarship funds and funds to benefit the future growth of the Association. Endowment and individual or corporate gifts to the foundation, which are tax deductible, are welcome. The proven generosity of West Texas friends businesses will help the Foundation grow to a multimillion dollar educational program for young people and serve as an avenue for charitable and memorial giving to the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association.
